‘Brexiting’ has finally been defined (and no it’s not just about the relationship between Britain and the European Union)
In a post shared recently on his Instagram feed, actor Jake Silbermann provided what could be the most useful definition of ‘Brexiting.’
It read as follows:
BREXITING (verb)
/brekziting/
Meaning: Telling everyone at the party that you are leaving, but actually staying.
Example: Theresa is at the party, brexiting near the fridge for over an hour now.
Silbermann then asked: “Also, is this the inverse or opposite of an ‘Irish goodbye’? whilst elsewhere the Urban Dictionary offers a series of alternative examples. They include: “The act of ceasing an activity so you can cut off your nose to spite your face” and “Telling your partner you will pull out before ejaculating during sex and then changing your mind at the last minute.”
