Baroness Marie-Claire von Alvensleben taken into custody after an altercation in a Belgravia hotel
On Wednesday evening, Baroness Marie-Claire von Alvensleben, a former associate of the founder of the now liquidated Von Essen Hotel group, Andrew Davis, was involved in an incident at a hotel in Belgravia.
The baroness, who now bases herself in Geneva, made a number of highly inappropriate remarks, offended several guests and then got into a an altercation with a police officer. According to sources at the hotel, she was subsequently taken into custody as she departed from the building.
Von Alvensleben, whom wrote a series of books named Absolutely Everything About can now add another string to her bow. She now knows absolutely everything about the inside of a police station.

Andrew Davis – her associate – left a trail of debts. I, for one, had no idea how bad he was until I did business with him. All the fool me.
The title she’s using is redundant like all other such European title. Lorraine is right. No class.
She ought to be banned from Britain for racial discrimination. I have heard the exact words used from my friend who was present (a friend of yours, Matthew) and I was so offended. I am of black heritage and though proud of that, I am as proudly British as the next man. Is this woman (she is not a “lady” let alone a “Baroness”) a member of the British National Party or the Austrian/German equivalent? Given what she said, she certainly would be welcomed by such parties. I am sickened and disgusted by her. Well done for naming and shaming such a woman. Baroness Lawrence fought tirelessly against what were so-called “working class” racists. It is time a battle was brought against so-called “upper class” ones like Marie-Claire (von) Alvensleben.
Baroness Lawrence has no business being in the Lords. If the mother of every white child innocently killed by black gangs was elevated to the Lords there would be standing room only. Gang warfare affects black, white and brown.
I am bored with people saying the British are racist: they bloody well are not. This country is the least blighted by racism and those who claim it is should try other countries…
Hatred – especially religious and racist – is unacceptable. This woman should be shunned on all occasions if these truly are her beliefs. Intolerance is the preserve of those without a bone of decency in their bodies. If she had any sense – and Matthew being a fair man – she would write and apologise and The Steeple Times ought to publish it in full. The matter could then be resolved. Somehow, sadly, I doubt that will happen.
I encountered this individual at a party once. She gave me her card within seconds without even knowing anything about myself or my background. She also demanded mine in return. I pretended not to have one and moved on. I am now so glad I took this course of action.
