Two cases that illustrate that it is often the victim who is forgotten
Today, there have been developments in the murder cases of Meredith Kercher in Italy and Anni Dewani in South Africa. Reporting on both curiously focuses on their alleged killers rather than their victims.
Mrs Dewani’s husband – whom the South African authorities allege killed his wife whilst on honeymoon in November 2010 – lost his High Court bid to avoid extradition whilst Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were again convicted for the murder of Meredith Kercher.
Sky News US correspondent Greg Milam summed up attitudes to such cases in commenting on the Kercher murder: “In America this is not the Meredith Kercher story, it is the Amanda Knox story”. Sadly she is right. It is high time the victims were put first.

Shame on the media for this. It is ridiculous that they promote these killers.
In cases like this one is inclined to think that
Judicial procedures are perverted
Knox should be extradited and justice should be done
