An amusing letter to ‘The Times’ provides light relief during the ‘Silly Season’
Renowned photographer and reader of The Steeple Times John Stoddart spotted this letter in The Times this week about paying for parking in Cornwall. It was too good not to share.
The letter, from Frances Smith of Kingsdown in Kent, reads:
“Sir, I saw this sign in a car par in Mevagissey, Cornwall: “If £2 coin rejected please bounce on concrete and try again”.
“The coin was rejected; we bounced and all was well”.
The simple ones are always the best.
