Laurence Fox has morphed from a much loved tellybox treasure into a tedious twerp; his new political party deserves only ‘destination dustbin’
Just as Nigel Farage is yet again “contemplating a return to frontline politics” (no surprises there given his past on-off-on-off and again antics when he’s in need of a bit more ‘wonga wonga’), another tedious loudmouth is sticking his oar in also.
Laurence Fox, whom we saluted as a ‘Hero of the Hour’ for quite rightly calling out the ‘MegExit’ saga as self-absorbed nonsense in January 2019, has sadly since morphed into a bit of a nutter and not only has decided to launch a political party, but also had ‘Freedom’ and ‘Space’ tattooed in a most ghastly fashion on his hands.
Fox – whose acting abilities in Lewis made him a middle-aged housewives firm favourite between 2006 and 2015 – has, it seems, changed from a “shy around women, sensitive and a bit naïve” Harrovian school boy into a BNP-esque bully determined to “fight the culture wars” (whatever they are).
The actor has allegedly raised £5 million already for his ludicrous ‘cause’ and “hopes to stand dozens of candidates across the UK” for a party he has provisionally named Reclaim. On his website, he pompously states:
“Over many years it has become clear that our politicians have lost touch with the people they represent and govern. Moreover, our public institutions now work to an agenda beyond their main purpose.”
“Our modern United Kingdom was born out of the respectful inclusion of so many individual voices. It is steeped in the innate values of families and communities, diverse in the truest sense but united in the want and need to call this island home.”
“The people of the United Kingdom are tired of being told that we represent the very thing we have, in history, stood together against.”
“We are all privileged to be the custodians of our shared heritage. We can reclaim a respectful nation where all are included and none are ashamed to have somewhere to call home.”
“I have been so encouraged by the support I have received by those wishing to add their voices to this reclamation of our values.”
“Our country is now in desperate need of a new political movement which promises to make our future a shared endeavour, not a divisive one.”
Ironically, in a not so cryptic reference to Inspector Morse, Fox – whose website ironically links to a reputation management and crisis issues firm, Reputation Communications, whose clients also number the Equality and Human Rights Commission – ends by repeating: “This is now my endeavour.”
Frankly, here is a man whom speaks nothing but utter gibberish and someone whose party sounds quite beyond pointless. Whilst Laurence Fox’s political movement will undoubtedly fast fade into obscurity, those hideous inkings sadly are with him for life. The poor chap needs only to find himself a ‘safe’ space and he needs ‘freedom’ to about his stupidity. Next!

I think he’s quite fabulous. At some point people will realise that the majority of Britons feel this way and that they cannot speak out for fear of labelling by the liberal left and the media. What is so wrong with protecting one’s country, culture and community?
Total agreement Julie. As things stand he’d get my vote. There is no party currently that offers ANYTHING. The Conservatives under Boris have proved themselves to be bungling incompetents. The Labour Party are in total disarray, Lib Dems dont really know what they stand for, UKIP need a Leader who has charisma who can stay the course (unlike Farage). So why not Laurence Fox ? Speaks my language and stands for British values which are becoming more and more eroded.

Critical race theory, like all race theories is racist. Most normal British people understand this. The idea of systemic racism is so absurd it’s embarrassing. Just because Robin Di Angelo is racist doesn’t make everyone else racist. Hitler hated the Jews. Guess what, in this country they were safe even from ex labour Moseley and his ex labour black shirts. Fox understands the British and their tolerant ways better than most.
As an American, I can’t comment on “systemic racism” in the UK, but I can tell you that “systemic racism” is very real in the states. It’s not at all absurd.

You are right. This site dared suggest Max Clifford and Rolf Harris were guilty. Of course they would attack a good man like a Laurence Fox also therefore. Laurence would support these two men I know as he is someone who sees through the lefty women propaganda. Rolf Harris is innocent and he should be clearer now.

Fox’s party has the same tone as Tony Blair’s path to power. It’s utterly meaningless and that’s what this article shows… Fox, like Farage and Blair also, tells us what he thinks we want to hear but nothing else. No substance and that is highlighted clearly.

In the case of institutions like the BBC, their main purpose is to inform the public of both sides of an argument and to be impartial.

Lawrence Fox should be commended for trying to stand up to the scourge of identity politics, hyper racial awareness, cancel culture etc.. from the mainstream media to Harry and Megan, we are constantly lectured to these days that the UK has systemic racism.

The UK has a mayor of London in Sadiq Khan , Priti Patel is the Home Secretary, Rishi Sunak is the chancellor of the exchequer, Dianne Abbot, David Lammy, Sajid Javed and Dawn Butler all front bench MP’s. 18 muslim MP’s elected in the last election.
Go to any other country in the world and try and find a more diverse and least racist society.. good luck with that.

Laurence Fox has morphed into a new version of David Icke. He gives no reasoning for what he says and his plattitudes are exactly akin to the strategy Tony Blair used in his third way – MEANINGLESS.

I would seriously advise you against dismissing Lawrence Fox as a David Icke type with no substance.
You shouldn’t underestimate and dismiss what the majority of the UK (outside of London) thinks as being ill informed, bigoted and racist.
A couple of years ago you were doing exactly the same thing against Nigel Farage, and then you all of a sudden last December, you found yourself voting for fucking Jo Swinson to overturn a national democratic vote!

Fox suffers from a form of Shizofrenia He fears silence. He fears going inwards. He was a great poet in the Netherlands in a past life. Words are important to him. As an actor he had to say words that others have written for him. This frustration made him want to speak his own words. A romantic soul in a way, who wants things to stay in the old ways, in the times where white people had the time and money to be romantic poets. Needs to address that. On the other hand good point of people feeling discriminated all the time. It is the game of the black and the white marble, fearing the transparent marble that brings ends to the game of light and dark, good and bad. Yet discriminating back is not the answer.
He has to learn to use his means for the well being of ALL. Still with money he thinks it must come from others. Not a bad soul though. Just rather young in spirit. Silence of the Lambs, of not speaking his mind feels like death to him. Interestingly enough before Covid (that put us into silence literally with mouthcaps) he started speaking about freedom of speech. He may have felt something coming up that would silence the world for a while. And that total silence is very threatening. So stirring things up before the curtain fell is like a soul, fearing not being heard of seen.
I hope he opens up his heart. Hathaway or AnaHataWay of the heart. I wish him his lessons of true joy. He has a deep intuitive side that he may not have noticed yet that is easily overruled by the mind. Speaking too quickly.
