Moron of the Moment – Benjamin Clark

Section:

Extinction Rebellion activist Benjamin Clark deserved more than a fine for painting the word “racist” on a statue of Churchill

In spite of being the son of a pastor, 18-year-old Extinction Rebellion activist all-round petulant prat Benjamin Clark is a youngster completely lacking in sense.

Plainly a wannabe Greta Thunberg, Clark took it upon himself to paint the word “racist” on the plinth of the Winston Churchill statue in Parliament Square on 10th September and in doing so disgracefully caused £1,642.03 worth of damage.

As he appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Clark’s legal representative, Laura O’Brien, ridiculously tried to defend the teenager. She ludicrously and obviously incorrectly tried to argue that “he did not attend the scene with the intent to damage the statue.”

O’Brien continued: “This case is not about Winston Churchill and it is not about the motivation of using that word, it is about the damage that was caused. This is not a case about offending the history of this country… We are here to deal with a small amount of spray paint on a statue.”

Deputy chief magistrate Tan Ikarm, however quite rightly saw through this utter nonsense and sensibly remarked:

“You were part of an Extinction Rebellion protest, as a result of which you became in possession of some yellow chalk paint which you then sprayed on the base of the statue.”

“You’ve caused great offence it appears to a lot of people and I’m told it has provoked a very strong reaction.”

Benjamin Clark – who claims to have been subject to death threats since the incident – was deservedly given a £200 fine and ordered to pay £1,200 in compensation for his actions. He was also slapped with £85 in court costs and a £34 victim surcharge and now should jolly well grow up.

  1. Probably a spoilt indulged little boy, what has become of us breeding these nasty little people, they have no idea how bloody lucky they are,GROW UP AND GET EDUCATED ABOUT THE GENERATION THAT GAVE YOU FREEDOM YOU NASTY LITTLE BOY!

  2. In the small Herefordshire town where I come from he would not get a death threat. That would not happen. He would get a good “duffing over. I think he does morons a disservice since he seems to lack the level of understanding and intelligence they have.

  3. I just love twats like him along with Greta, how dare you, Thunberg. They haven’t been on the planet 5 minutes, but feel they have the right to tell us how we should live. Both of them should feel privaliged they won the lottery of life, and were born into a civilised, wealthy society. Perhaps if they woke up every morning hungry, had to walk 5 miles for water, or were in fear of their lives, they might not be so out spoken.

  4. Moron of the Moment and Sh*thead of the Year So Far. If it weren’t for Churchill you’d be in a forced labour camp, Benjamin. Camps run by people who didn’t like Jews, homosexuals, the mentally ill and mentally challenged, and people who fought against them, and tried to kill them all – don’t know if you fall into any of these categories, Benjie Baby. If Churchill hadn’t organized the evacuation of Dunkirk, we’d have lost the war before it started.

  5. Benjamin Clark is clearly an idiot – his vile slander of Churchill’s memory was irrelevant to the protest he was attending. It was supposed to be about climate change. Also why has his father – who claims to be a “trained spiritual director” – not have the guts to condemn the action of his son? Anyhow – what for pity’s sake is a “trained spiritual director”? Some sort of failed vicar, I suppose. More training might help – but perhaps not. Father looks a bit sanctimonious on the Hertford Baptist web-site. He, himself, is probably a member of the Liberal Intelligentsia – used to be known more aptly as the Looney Left.

    • Here Here,
Also a trained spiritual director is recognised as some sort of religion, so it means he doesn’t have to pay and income tax.
