In her latest feature discussion shared on YouTube, Amanda Eliasch sparks debate about Ukraine and ignites passion and fury from eternally eccentric Philip Sallon and anything but bashful Brexiteer Alice Grant
Amanda Eliasch is far from timid. Here, instead, is a directly different dynamo not afraid to challenge the norm and here is someone prepared to speak up for the causes she most genuinely believes in.
Marmite-like in her manner and a marvel against mainstream magnolia, Eliasch took to YouTube earlier this week to share a 25:47-minute upload in which she chatted with the eternally eccentric Philip Sallon and an anything but bashful Brexit supporting GB News ‘contributor’ named Alice Grant.
During the discussion, the trio commented on the war in Ukraine, coronavirus, China, Russia and other matters. Beginning, Beirut born Eliasch – whose father was a foreign correspondent for the Daily Mail – remarked:
“There’s a major problem in the world with billionaires. It doesn’t matter if they’re in Russia or the rest of the world. They are trying to rule it.”
Grant, a believer in the concept that “Russia has always made her position clear,” somewhat bombastically continued:
“There is this global elite and then there is of course the interests of the people – which are two very different things… There is this conflict between two financial systems: The US dollar… And then we have the emerging Chinese empire… This is the future.”
Dressed in military costume, Sallon on Russia and China contrasted:
“They’ve both got authoritarian leaders… I think America is a lot better. Where there’s a troublemaker in the world, they will go and get, not always, but actually get the dictator out and eventually leave.”
“What Russia has done is diabolical. To walk into Ukraine. How dare they… Russia don’t respect democracy. Putin is not elected. He’s abolished democracy and says: ‘I’m the absolute monarch, the same as the Tsar.’ He doesn’t say those words, but that’s what he is… Russia is upto its old tricks and walking into everyone’s countries again because that’s how they are.”
“Russia: They walked into the Crimea and everyone let them do it. It is exactly the same as the Nazis… F*ck Russia.”
In return, Eliasch bounced back:
“I always thought of the Ukraine… as one of the most corrupt countries in the world. Suddenly, we’re hearing that they’re the angels from the sky and the victims.”
“This has not been just brewing now, it’s been brewing for twenty years… Biden isn’t strong enough… They’re not doing pigsh*t… We need to fight for peace right now.”
“The point is that it needs to stop. Everything.”
At the beginning of her feature, Eliasch herself elaborated: “We have different perspectives on things, but anything we say may not be true.” In doing so, she makes a very sensible point and on that basis her honest-to-its-core feature is well worth watching. It’ll be something you’ll either love or loathe, but it’s something that will certainly provoke you to think.
