Shame on the Socialist Worker

The ‘Socialist Worker’ owes the family of Horatio Chapple an apology

The Socialist Worker can be relied upon to spout nonsense but in making fun of the death of a 17-year old Eton pupil, they’ve gone too far.

In a column by a nameless writer titled mockingly “Eton by bear? The inquest begins”, the paper states:

“Horatio Chapple, an Eton pupil, was killed by a polar bear in 2011 while on an adventure holiday. The 24-year old polar bear was seriously underweight. It weighed about 250kg rather than the typical 400kg, and had heavily worn teeth which would have caused it pain”.

“The bear was shot dead after it attacked Horatio and others on the trip. An inquest into Horatio’s death began this week. Troublemaker has long supported campaigning for the environment”.

“Now we have another reason to save the polar bears”.

The Socialist Worker should apologise to the family of Horatio Chapple for publishing this offensive article. Sadly, we doubt they will.

  1. What a disgusting “newspaper” you publish. The Socialist Worker will long outlive your Capitalist crap. Now piss off.

    1. What an appalling comment. Shameful in fact. A young man was taken in his prime and you join with those who celebrate his death. I urge you to reconsider your position. The Socialist Worker should name and shame whomever wrote this poison.

    2. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. Free market capitalism allows ordinary people to advance by the virtue of their own enterprise and hard work. The left wing Liberal elite would seek to deny others the advantages they have already enjoyed. The anti-capitalists have their own secret agenda and it is not compassion. The defend characters such as Cyril Smith, because they are all cut from the same cloth.

      1. Spot on Chaim….the only reason that left wingers don’t aspire to the excitement of capitalism is they are fit only to be employed in some state financed capacity.

    3. I suspect you are a bit simple. Anyone who calls himself Eddy Himmler is a sad prick living out his fantasies in some stinking, dank and dark bedsit

  2. I agree entirely. The Socialist Worker article is journalism at its lowest. This is just as bad as phone hacking. It’s insensitive, cruel and disgusting.

  3. At least the Socialist Worker doesn’t attack Rolf Harris. Rolf is an innocent man and he needs the support of good and decent people in his quest to clear his name.
