A site that shows you when to use it’s rather than its or vice versa
We all get grammar wrong. I’m particularly bad with “who” and “whom” but when the website It’s not Its (alternatively known as Its not It’s) came to my attention, I just knew it had to be our Website of the Week.
It’s not Its, designed by Andrew Huff, is a simple one page website that defines the differences between It’s and Its in two columns. It also rightly points out that Its’ is “never correct. Ever”.
It’s not Its is a most helpful reference point. We urge Andrew Huff to create another named Who not Whom. It would be just as useful.

Dear Sainted Editor, I commend to you Lynne Truss’s opus “Eats shoots and leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation”. It is superb. Practical and amusing too. Lynne and I were once lecturers aboard Queen Mary2 on a voyage from Cape Town to Perth. She is a cuddly, articulate hoot! Much to be admired (unlike some pedants one encounters).
A great work. Lynne Truss is an amazing lady.
