Conrad Black stripped of his Canadian honours
He remains The Right Honourable The Lord Black of Crossharbour KSG, but the disgraced newspaper publisher Conrad Black had his appointments as an officer of the Order of Canada and as a Canadian privy councilor terminated on Friday.
Found guilty of raiding Hollinger International, the company he ran, in 2007 and with a wife “whose extravagance knew no bounds”, Black has also been on leave of absence from the House of Lords since June 2012. He’s lucky he’s still got Princess Michael of Kent as a friend. Nobody else, it seems, wants him around.
