Conrad Black persuades Princess Michael to dish the dirt on the royals on Canadian television
You can’t keep the old felon down: Whilst interviewing Princess Michael of Kent, Conrad Black persuaded her to make a series of extraordinary remarks about her relatives. That she fell into such a trap could be said to be extraordinary but given that she’s previously suggested living Kensington Palace to be like “living on Coronation Street”, we’re less than surprised.
Amongst the comments made to a man many view as “disgraced” following his 2007 conviction, ‘Princess Pushy’ – as the media often dub her – referred to Princess Diana as “uneducated” and described the older royals as “boring”.
Outrage has naturally followed from quarters that number amongst others those who, equally, love the sound of their own voices. Lady Colin Campbell stated the comments were “ridiculous” whilst author Ashley Walton stated “Prince Philip is “anything but boring”. Silence is perhaps a virtue that Princess Michael and her critics also would do well to take up.

I am not very keen on the daughter of the SS officer, but to suggest P. Diana was educated in the classical sense is a nonsense.
The Royals really aren’t terribly interesting…as for P. Phillip… his hoary old English eccentric seadog act is a bit trying when he has not a drop of English blood.
She is a very silly, unpleasant and irrelevant woman. As for Black …
What a dreadful ingrate and fraud. The thing that really irks me is how she disavows her Australian roots – she spent the most formative years of her life in Sydney – between 6 and 18.
