Two Internet titans worth watching
Those who wrote off Halsey Minor, founder of CNET, may have done so prematurely given today’s news that Michael Birch has just bought back Bebo for just $1 million.
Minor, who filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in May, sold one of the first Internet companies to achieve profitability in 2008 for $1.7 billion. In the same year, Birch sold the social networking site Bebo for $850 million.
