Those who wrote off Halsey Minor, founder of CNET, may have done so prematurely given today’s news that Michael Birch has just bought back Bebo for just $1 million.

Minor, who filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in May, sold one of the first Internet companies to achieve profitability in 2008 for $1.7 billion. In the same year, Birch sold the social networking site Bebo for $850 million.

 

We have it on reliable authority that Halsey Minor is launching a new Internet venture shortly. The intelligent amongst you will indeed watch this space.
