Classic clangers from the last week
Two become one
At La Brasserie in South Kensington, a sociable blonde was overheard repeatedly telling anyone that’d listen that she’d sold her business to “that Murdoch-Maxwell chap”. When asked: “Did you sell to Maxwell or did you sell to Murdoch?” she bizarrely answered: “There’s only the one. I sold to Maxwell-Murdoch”.
Sex and spending
The Native Society’s Oliver Estreich overheard two housewives shopping in Barneys in New York. One remarked: “Which outfit says ‘I’m sexy’ and which one says ‘I’ll only spend half your income’?” The other’s silence spoke volumes.
Partying without Katie
At George in Mayfair, an Irish businessman told his American companion: “I don’t go to number two parties. I only go to number one parties”. The American enquired: “What’s a number one party?” “I won’t go to a number two party” came the reply. “What do you mean?” she again tried. “I mean a party attended by Katie Hopkins, Katie Price or Katie Perry”, he concluded.
Topping UKIP
When Hugh Warrender attended a live gig by Bill Bailey last week, the funnyman made reference to UKIP. He described them as “Top Gear for people who don’t like cars”.

Why do you publish this drivel at a time when Madeleine McCann is missing still? You should be supporting dear Gerry and Kate in their efforts to find their beloved daughter. It is surely time you accepted that Find Madeleine is and should be our only priority.
Lighten up! You really are such a bore.
Dear Gillian, I too am devastated at the disappearance of a little girl, but I also feel that you should be aware of the huge problem of child abuse and child trafficking that is going on right under our noses in the UK. You seem a very caring person but you need to look at the political aspect of how and why these children go missing. Take for example Rotherham, Rochdale, Oxford which focuses on the Asian gangs. Also the VIP Peodophile rings that have been operating at high levels for a long time. I think that you need to become au faut with child abuse rings and exactly what is going on in this country today. It might help you to understand things more and not be so distressed about Madeleine. I think you would be a good person to help get behind banishing forced adoptions in the UK, and the removal of babies at birth in the labour suite. I think it would help you to broaden your awareness and the horrors that goes on in a civilised world today. The Steeple Times is a jovial, political cross of things that are current affairs and luxury lifestyle thrown in too. I don’t think we are supposed to take everything too seriously as we all know wealth does not guarantee happiness. As far as finding Madeleine is concerned, what actually do you think anyone can do now after all of these years, knowing that there was and probably still is an active Peodophile ring in that area. We live in a sick world and peodophilia is an evil that it seems will never stop. You need to take a look at how the secret courts are been used in the UK to traffic children into a care system where abuse of them is rife and their voices are silenced. Are you aware of the tens of thousands of children that just disappear in the UK that are supposedly under state care? Where do they go? I could go on and on about child abuse as I am an active campaigner, along with many other people in the UK. It is not a pretty site, I can tell you.
Trott on you silly woman. Yawn.
