Playboys swarming the streets of SW3 have turned Brompton Cross into the Arabian answer to Oxford Circus
Animals allegedly went into The Ark 2×2 and last night, in London’s Brompton Cross visiting Arabs paraded in a similar fashion.
Travelling in pairs in super cars (a stretch 6×6 Mercedes G-Wagen being amongst the most ludicrous) with garish yet very expensive garb (nothing less than Billionaire and Vertu is good enough), these perfume bathers bizarrely showed their winter outfits – which included padded vests and fur shawls – to SW3 in August.
With many glowing also in luminescent splendour, these playboy brats swarmed the pavements like wasps. They enveloped their surroundings as a hovering mass and showed off in multi-coloured Veyrons and Wraiths. They did not stop for cover even when it rained and bemused residents were left overwhelmed by nothing but a sickly stench.
Since the visiting super-rich – whose prime activities consist of preening and promenading – actually spent very little (they mostly drink water), they contributed hardly anything to the local economy. Their ostentatious annual invasion has sadly become accepted as “normal” but it shouldn’t be such: Brompton Cross is now little more than the Arabian answer to Oxford Circus. It’s worse than a Greek tragedy.

Most of them buy properties and keep them empty thus driving up prices and driving out locals. No young British people can afford the area anymore. Not even young British bankers.

Chelsea has always been a multi cultural community which has made it a wonderful eclectic, eccentric an interesting place to live. However this new wave of Russians and saudi’s have zero interest in community involvement, not even a “Good Morning”. Treat all other neighbours with contempt and their drivers hanging about on the street or sleeping in their cars 24 hours a day is a nightmare. Their money has actually cheapened the place. The character, feel and “local-ness” of Chelsea has changed so significantly over the last 10 years, its such a shame.

Most of these guys, whom I thought were rich, simply import their cars for a few weeks. If they really are rich, why don’t they leave a couple of cars here? This importation strategy is ruining their image as super-rich, revealing that they’re really paupers who can’t afford two Lambos: one in Riyadh and another one for London.
Their only extravagance seems to be ordering their cars with non-standard exhaust systems, so noisy that you could lose your hearing if you drove these monstrosities as far as Brighton.
These ME buyers must constitute the entire world market for Lamborghinis, which are ugly, overblown sub-supercars which have never been raced, unlike Ferrari or McLaren with a fine heritage on the track.

That is untrue. We have consistently reported and criticised “selfish behaviour” by people of all nationalities. It is not just Arabs who drive super cars in an irresponsible fashion. There are Europeans and Russians who are just as appalling and we have featured several of them (as well as several Arabs) on our pages as our archive will testify.
I think “Khaled” too utterly brainless, uneducated and comically dim to be real. He’s really a twit called Sid and sells delicious “Bacon Buttys” in Balham and enjoys trying to be being irritating……………!!!
