In taking on the repugnant journalist Piers Morgan on Twitter, funnyman John Cleese spoke for the nation
Last week, John Cleese spoke for the nation when he took to Twitter to mock Piers Morgan. He has supposedly been asked to stop because of the ongoing investigation into the journalist’s involvement in phone hacking but this comedian’s analysis of all that is wrong about Morgan was truly spot on.
In a series of tweets that began after Morgan bemoaned that Cleese had failed to recognise him in a New York restaurant, Cleese remarked that he “detest[ed]” Morgan and thinks him “slimy, attention-seeking” and a “prole”.
Cleese is right to have then mocked the fact that Morgan – who still bizarrely denies any knowledge of phone hacking occurring under his tenure as editor of The Mirror – is not in jail. It truly is time that he is and equally, it is truly time that Piers Morgan simply silenced himself.

More more please… !!
There’s plenty more to come on Morgan. He is a disgrace and a toad.
When he is on TV I must switch him off. Can’t stand the the guy. Repulsive creature of the first order.
Fabulous choice of photos – Cleese looking like an elderly avenging angel. Morgan looking rather like the wicked uncle of David Cameron
We, Americans, put up with him for a long time on his interview show simply because he became the man we loved to hate. We have Clinton and Obama but it is not the same thing.
An old girlfriend of mine described her ex husband a the ‘ Cock of the shit heap ‘ – pardon my French – but Morgan *, Woss, that twerp from Norwich and the unspeakable Brand are the same
They all know it; but cry all the way to the Bank – because they know that ‘ Nobody has gone broke underestimating the taste of the general public ‘
* the Piers Morgan diaries are hysterical; laugh out loud hysterical…so very funny
Oh, and who really believes that cheats don’t prosper….hands up!
Dreadful, common little fellow….and as for his socail climbing wife
