Story of the 2011 murder of 91-year old socialite Viola Herms Drath by her 47-year old bisexual fraudster husband Albrecht Gero Muth to be made into a film produced by Christoph Waltz
Christoph Waltz is set to become “the coolest Bond villain ever” when he appears in Spectre as Franz Oberhauser in November this year but in equally exciting news, it has been revealed that he direct a film about the 2011 murder of the Georgetown, Washington socialite Viola Herms Drath by her husband Albrecht Gero Muth.
Now jailed for fifty years for the killing of his 91-year old wife of twenty-one years, 47-year old Muth (AKA “Sheikh Ali Al-Muthaba”, “Muti” and “Count Albi”) will be played by 58-year old Waltz in the epic also. It has tentatively been titled The Worst Marriage in Georgetown after a 2012 New York Times Magazine article about the case and is set to start filming on 12th October 2015.
This tale of a duo portrayed alternatively as either “glamorous socialites” or more simply “an odd couple” will no doubt take in the dinners the pair hosted in their Georgetown home. Guests variously numbered such people as former Vice President Dick Cheney and the Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and with Muth having regularly pretended to be an Iraqi general, issued claims that he bugged Madeleine Albright’s bedroom and paraded around with a riding crop on his daily walks, this is a film that will amuse as much as it no doubt will horrify.
