It has 5 reception rooms, 8 bedrooms and comes with a tennis court, outbuilding and double garage.
Built originally in 1678 but mainly dating to the 18th century, Ashton House has most recently been owned by Gordon Fairclough, the Chancellor of the Cumbria Commandery of the Order of St Lazarus, according to Wikipedia and has also been used as a wedding venue.

At any point did anybody ask for a detailed overview of 1 of the owners personal ‘credentials’ ? A person was simply stating that the TV didn’t fit in with the way in which the house was preserved, in terms of its Georgian style.
Well you seem to know a lot about 1 of the owners, though i don’t believe you lived in the house itself did you?
I believe it would be best to ask somebody who lived in the house, about matters concerning the house.

The classic English village house: Georgian, formal gardens, a tennis court and woodland; plenty of entertaining space and situated in beautiful countryside. An easy sell for any estate agent especially at this low price.
