50,000 square foot Utah mansion that would suit an exiled dictator or lottery lout
Money and taste don’t necessarily go together and no more is this rule proven than in a $30 million (£18 million) Utah mansion featured by the property blog Homes of the Rich recently.
Standing on a plot of 75 acres, the 49,568 square foot mansion was built for a businessman named Tom Mower Sr. in 2010 and includes 6 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. It has a heated driveway, garaging for 8 cars, a movie theatre, a 2-lane bowling alley, an indoor shooting range and an indoor basketball court.
Mower, who amongst other things has organised the most bizarre things named “Tom Mower Sr. Prison Camp Training” at the property is plainly a man whose extravagance knows no bounds. There’s a Maybach in the garage and an electronics room that’d leave Einstein feeling puzzled. Unsurprisingly, it’s been on the market since August 2012.
The selling agent, Coldwell Banker, describes the property as an “extraordinary home”. We’d take a slightly different tack. Our view? Well, it can’t be described as anything other than “extraordinarily horrific”.

It might be ugly but the views are fabulous.
The price has gone UP by $5 million to $35 million. That’s lunacy.
Utah is the perfect location for dictators and crooks. The Donny Osmond family and Mormons will make them see the errors in their ways. What deposit do they require?
The price once was over $50 million and now it’s down to $17.5 million. Maybe when it gets to 10, Trump will come steal it, like he did with Mar-a-Lago…
