£4,750 sculpture stolen from Belgravia’s The Osborne Studio Gallery
Belgravia is generally considered to be genteel and civilised but last week, Geoffrey Hughes experienced something quite to the contrary when his gallery, The Osborne Studio Gallery, was robbed of a bronze titled Favourite Hound.
Created by one of Britain’s leading equestrian sculptors, Juliet Cursham, the £4,750 30cm high bronze was taken on either the afternoon of Friday 10th July or on the morning of Saturday 11th July along with its price tag and description.
Of the incident, Hughes commented:
“We have no intelligence on the thief but on both days had foreign and young visitors”.

Disgraceful!!!!!!! It’s a great gallery and very well managed. Sad to hear this kind of thing went on somewhere so civilised!!!!!! Hope they catch the scum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tut tut. How selfish the thief is. I cannot go and see this stunning bronze sculpture now. How did this happen in Belgravia of all places!? Does Mr Hughes not have cameras in his gallery? Could have caught the gallery pest before boarding a plane!

What an offensive comment. Theft is theft and the individual who stole this, stole something that took countless hours no doubt to create. I have only published your remark to highlight your pomposity. Shame on you Vita.
