House with stunning views in San Francisco offered for 100% more than it sold in 2010
Despite having a somewhat unassuming road frontage elevation, 320 Sea Cliff Avenue in San Francisco is a house that has a truly spectacular view to the rear. Offered for sale for £12.8 million ($16 million, €15.3 million or درهم58.8 million), the house was built in 1926 and is perched high on the cliffs and enjoys views of crashing white water, Land’s End at China Beach, the Pacific Ocean and the Marin Headlands.
Extending to 5,200 square foot, the renovated building is described as being of a Spanish Colonial Revival style and features vibrant tile work, red-tiled rooflines and turrets. It has 3 reception rooms, 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a grand curved staircase and an ocean view terrace.
320 Sea Cliff plainly will likely appeal to one of Silicon Valley’s tech tycoons – the city’s market is booming due to their wealth – and given it has only been on the Zillow realty site for 7 days, it has already been viewed there nearly 4,000 times. It previously sold for $8 million (the equivalent of £7.1 million, $8.9 million, €8.5 million or درهم32.7 million today) in 2010 and $3.1 million (the equivalent of £3.3 million, $4.1 million, €3.9 million or درهم 15.1 million today) in 2003.
The property is offered for sale through Mark Allan Levinson of Pacific Union Christie’s International Real Estate.
If I had £750,000 spare, I’d definitely buy this house. The setting is spectacular.
Not really a cottage though, is it? Seems bigger than most peoples’ primary homes.
In the summer of 1960, I spent four weeks holiday with my family at this lovely cottage.I had just left Teacher training college and was awaiting the results of final exams. My younger sister was waiting for the results of her O level exams. It was so relaxing to be away from it all in such beautiful surroundings
Each year we have a Family holiday in Cornwall and I like to return to Church Cove to look at and remember the happy times I spent so long ago Patricia
