One-off Bentley by pop artist Sir Peter Blake to be auctioned for charity
Akin to the Rolls-Royces created by Nicolas Bijan Pakzad in terms of its unique style, a Bentley designed by the pop artist Sir Peter Blake is to be offered by Bonhams on 24th June at their Goodwood Festival of Speed sale.
Based on a 2016 Bentley Continental GT V8 S convertible, this anything but discreet vehicle features Sir Peter’s trademark St James red heart motif hand-painted onto a yellow bonnet as well as his signature on each of its headrests. A collage of bright shades decorates the exterior and the cabin is described as being “an expression of individuality” also with each seat trimmed in a different hide colour.
Of his creation, Sir Peter Blake commented:
“I am proud to have been involved with transforming this beautiful car, and have enormous admiration for the people at Bentley who brought my design into being, to produce this one-off lovely car”.
All funds raised from the sale of the – and that of seventy-five “I ♥ Bentley” prints created to accompany it – will be donated to the Care2Save Charitable Trust. An estimate for the vehicle has yet to be released.

It is not to my taste but it is definitely collectable. The V&A should buy it. It is time they had some cars in their collection.
I agree with Martin – the right cars, and I don’t mean the cars that petrol heads worship, would be a terrific draw to foreign visitors ……..particularly cars that belonged to iconic people, film and pop stars
