Former John Entwistle Rolls-Royce shooting brake sells for £43,700

 

John Entwistle of The Who was a man who bought cars “to drink in” given that he never learnt to drive. A Rolls-Royce shooting brake that he commissioned in 1980 that The Steeple Times recently featured sold today at Bonhams for £43,700 including premium.

Given the comments of adoration that we received from readers we are not surprised the £12,000 to £16,000 estimate was easily beaten. We wonder just WHO will be shooting off in it now.

    1. Matthew Interestingly, there is another RR shooting brake built for the late Colonel Townend of Hill House School.
      It seems permanently parked under a block of flats in Sloane St. What a great man he was…shame greatness fails to run in that family
