Russian student spends £20,000 covering her £25,000 Mercedes in Swarovski crystals and then wonders why she is mocked
The ‘Ramadan Rush’ may be over and the Arabs and their cars have left the streets of Knightsbridge, but now, it seems, Russians have realised that they too can get involved in blinging up their vehicles.
Yesterday, it was widely reported that a Russian business student named Daria Radionova had spent £20,000 to add one million Swarovski crystals to her £25,000 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS 350.
Of it, Miss Radionova told the Mail Online:
“I wanted to have something unique and do something special. The people who did it came over from Russia and worked for 12 hours a day for two months on the car. I am really happy with it and I am looking forward to driving it around. It has only just been finished and everywhere I go people stop to have a look at it. It gets lots of attention from people walking by and in cars. Sometimes I think they might crash. Everyone is taking pictures of it”.
Miss Radionova, however, was not happy with the article as it plainly did not “big her up” enough and later took to Facebook to complain. She stated:
“I’m glad to be in top news… @dailymail btw please change some information as it is not that correct… the car worth more than 25k… My baaaby))) sick!!!”
Daria Radionova is as entitled to do whatever she wishes as the next woman but this car – registration plate BA11 BYY – is just ridiculous. For that reason, we make this spoilt youngster our Wally of the Week.

She is appallingly stupid if she believed this was going to attract anything other than negativity.
She gives womankind a bad name. Off to the Tower with her.
What a waste of crystals. She is plainly thick. They’ll be stolen.
What a charming young lady. Such taste, style and refinement.
Are you being serious Glenmore?
I assume Glenmore is being ironic Gillian.
The Daily Mail mentioned a team flying from Russia to work on the car. Did they have work visas? If not, then they may have committed a criminal offence by working in the UK illegally. But, if that is the case, then so did the girl by employing them illegally. Daria Radionova has questions to answer.
Love it…
Love what?
I’m not sure either. Harry did, however, ask a very important question. Were the workers who carried out the modifications to this car in Britain with valid work permits?
Love? What a silly comment.
In fact – I wish there were a dislike button. I’d hit it.
Her total capital expenditure is £45000 on a product worth less than £25000. She won’t make it on the Dragons Den. I hope she is not considering a career in fucking investment banking.
Get these disgusting, vulgar people out of the UK. I don’t care how much they bring to the economy.
