The cashless society where cameras watch our every move gets ever closer
First it was London’s buses that refused cash, then a restaurant decided to take only credit cards and soon you won’t even be able to buy a tax disc for your car.
From 1st October, the traditional tax disc will vanish after 93 years on our windscreens and though car owners will still to have pay tax to drive or keep a car on the road, cameras will be now checking to establish if this had been paid.
George Orwell’s predictions are coming to fruition: Britain truly is becoming the land of Big Brother.
