File on Sir Cliff Richard sent to the CPS
In 2013, we published an image of a disc by the Christian ‘Peter Pan of Pop’ Cliff Richard. We share it again now.
Cilla Black would no doubt turn in her grave as a result of events yesterday, but one way or another it is time that this matter was dealt with.

The file was prepared by the South Yorkshire police. I suggest that recent events as revealed by the Hillsborough Inquiry and Inquest may make it harder for them to secure a conviction from any juror who has not been living on the moon for the past few years. ‘Wot tamper with evidence, slander victims. You forgot to mention the pervert James Savile as well, you moron, he was innocent as well wasn’t he??
Rolf Harris will die in Prison, especially after his next round in the dock, so I think it unlikely he will be suing anybody. As for Sir Cliff, well I will just wait and see what evidence is presented.
They obviously won’t prosecute if they feel the evidence won’t secure a conviction.
As far as I’m concerned, anybody found guilty of abusing minors, should get life, sound harsh I know, but when you consider the harm that is done to generations, we have to get these perverts off the streets, and no, before you ask, I don’t support the death penalty.
After the whole debacle concerning the failure to bring Jimmy Savile to justice, it’s no wonder that the police are desperate to redeem themselves by catching other celebrity paedophiles. However, I have to say that Operation Yewtree, etc. have not been very effective up to now. I think you can count on one hand the number of convictions that the police have actually been able to secure – although I was delighted to see the likes of Rolf, Glitter, and Chris Denning put away.
As to whether Cliff is guilty or not – he has never struck me as “creepy” in the same way that Jimmy Savile or Gary Glitter were. Granted, a man who has never married nor appears to have had many (official) romantic relationships is always going to look “odd” in the eyes of the public. I’m also aware that his name has been circulated on a number of blogs – including on a list that purports to show the guests of a certain establishment. However, anyone can write a list of names and upload it onto the Internet. Doesn’t necessarily make it true. Especially since the same websites are often filled with crackpot conspiracy theories.
And surely after two years, the police should have enough info as to whether they have a case or not? Rather than leaving the accused in limbo like this.
