Squalid store room on a half-landing in South Kensington offered for £30,000 to £50,000 at auction
In a further sign that the London property market has gone potty, a squalid store room on a busy main road in South Kensington has is to be auctioned with a guide price of £30,000 to £50,000 on Thursday 18th February.
Situated on a half-landing between the first and second floor of 19 Cromwell Road, ‘Suite A’ – as the selling agents Allsop optimistically name the property – is described simply as having “a sink and windows”. Its square footage is not shared but it is held on a long lease of 125 years from the 25th December 2014 with a ground rent of £250 per annum.
Viewings – without the need for an appointment – are available every Wednesday and Friday before the auction between 9.30am and 10am. No doubt the behaviour of the queue that will form around the block to take a look will make the antics of the contestants on Storage Wars seem tame.
Update 18th February: Sold for a staggering £82,500.

There are quite a few of these bijou places in Kensington. I know one, about the same size, that is used by the owner when he is visiting London, from his home in Rome. Better to have a box in Kensington, or Chelsea, that a mansion in Scunthorpe, or some other God forsaken place.
Get over it
It’s a hand bag dinner and a glass or two of Champagne in Mafair

Une boit – une boite a Roger peur t’etre
I have seen this kind of thing but fully fitted out in Paris. It is shocking what you could get into s place like this. Bed, Toilet, Shower and Cooking!!
This would be a gold mine to some err! Not me thank you very much.
I doubt there are any waste pipes so highly unlikely on the lav front.
The new toilets can use ordinary waste pipes like the one in the room for the sink.
Reminds me of an apartment I had in college.
