Wally of the Week: Mick Philpott

Section:

Child killer Mick Philpott may get his just deserts for bragging about receiving free false teeth on the NHS

Mick Philpott is a man who should only be remembered as a monster who burnt 6 of his 17 children to death in a house fire. Instead, now this evil creature is back in the press after receiving a full set of false teeth on the NHS.

Philpott – who previously personified ‘Benefit Britain’ by living in social housing and receiving some £60,000 a year in benefits – was a man described as being unwilling to pay for new teeth prior to be jailed. It can now be revealed that he has even written to his accomplice wife to tell her how “handsome” he now feels.

A prison source is quoted as adding:

“Philpott is over the moon with them, but taxpayers won’t be quite as pleased. Before he was jailed he was too tight to pay for his own dental treatment”.

“Even on his wedding day he went down the aisle with just a mouthful of gums. He lost his teeth because they all rotted away. But now he’s got a full set on the taxpayer”.

Mick Philpott, like any prisoner, one could argue, has rights. Given his having arrogantly bragged about his new look, though, we’d add that he’s now put himself in danger and is more likely to get a whack in his precious teeth from a fellow prisoner. For that reason, this child killer just had to be our Wally of the Week.

    1. A burning desire for a free set of false teeth from the very generous British taxpayers, we will also give him free money, so that he can buy his canteen in prison and put his new choppers to the test. We must not discriminate against him on the grounds of his offences, we must be dignified, it is not political correct to call him a monster. We are a decent society and have a obligation to look after his needs. Another bloody care plan……….

    2. So a mass murderer like Philpott & many others have more rights to get free dental treatment! It appears yet again that the system protects & cares for the worst & most heinous criminals. What about the rights of his children?

I understand medical treatment to an extent (prisoners should never get preferential or faster treatment than anyone else) but what is the point of Philpott having these new teeth? He managed well enough before he went to jail. There is absolutely no justification for the taxpayers footing the bill for this “cosmetic” dentistry!

Why is this man allowed anything more than basic emergency treatment? Or any prisoner for that matter!

      • It is beyond any Monty Python comedy scetch. Play stations and televisions, newspapers delivered to them during breakfast. Health Care staff waiting hand and foot on them. It is better than any Hotel can offer.

    3. Rolf Harris is innocent and he gets more vilification that this man. You need to stop attacking Rolf and focus on REAL CRIMINALS like Philpott.

      • The Rolf Harris is innocent dude is rather forceful in his attempt to convince us that kangaroo Rolf is innocent. Perhaps he should take kangaroo Rolf by the balls and walk him down the road of righteousness and explain to him that child porn is vile and evil. Kangaroo Rolf is old enough to know that “Chaim does not pay” Go play in the traffic , but let your mother know where you are.

    4. One thing that would really cause prisoners pain and suffering is a ban on smoking. It seems extremely strange that prisons, which are public but confined spaces, should allow smoking whereas the general public is not allowed to smoke in public but confined spaces. That would give many career pause for thought before they committed crimes if they knew they had to go through the pain of nicotine withdrawal.

    5. The ban on smoking does not appply to prisoners and politicians on a break at Westminister. The NHS will pay for expensive nicotine replacement treatment for prisoners. It will be cruel and inhumane to make them suffer. They are protected group, it is called Liberal justice……
