Though his middle name is ‘Sheffield’, television chef Gino D’Acampo was actually born in Torre del Greco in Italy. Twice incarcerated – once for two years for burgling the home of the singer Paul Young and once for killing and cooking a rat whilst on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! – D’Acampo holds six Guinness World Records and is a father of three. He owns four pasta bars and of meeting his English wife once commented: “We fell in love in the meat fridge. We didn’t make love in there, but despite the cold, we both realised the strength of our feelings. And they were ‘ot, believe me”.

A lovely chap!!!! Shame he got ratted!!!!!!
I find Gino very warm and with a fun personality. I enjoy his cooking programme immensely on itv and he comes across really well in front of the camera. Big fan.
Big fan of his too, he has a certain ‘openness’ about him that is unusual and I find his naughty, lighthearted sense of humour really refreshing.
And that is precisely what makes him so attractive spesh to the opposite sex! The Italian accent is also a bonus. All the points you have highlighted are the reason he is so personable. There is too much seriousness around these days with some people. It makes life dull.
Agreed…it can be a British thing though [seriousness], nothing wrong with that either but De Campo’s tongue in cheek style works, he’s got it right and his Agent must love him for it!
