This Scottish, Jewish journalist and author describes himself to his 48,000 followers on Twitter as a “tireless defender of the weak and watery middle”. The son of the Kensington MP Sir Malcolm Rifkind, Hugo Rifkind writes for The Times, The Spectator and GQ and is well known for having ”humourously vandalising” Wikipedia entries in 2010. Though fellow columnist James Delingpole described him as a “salary-cushioned whimsyist” in February 2010, most view this witty columnist to be amusing if sometimes somewhat ridiculous.
His father, as an MP and politician, is an utter waste of time….
Rifkind Pere’s last essay into international diplomacy was to suggest that we cosy up to the mad mullahs who run Iran in the hope that they help destroy those other mad savages Isil.
Rifkind forgets the Iranians would love to nuke Israel and are currently beating records for strangling to death gay people and any others they don’t like. Stoning is still the preferred way of killing adulterous women.
The next thing is we will hear him suggest we make friend with North Korea….they also want to make free with nukes. What a prat. No wonder Thatcher dumped him.
You were right about the dad. An utter creep.
His dad is a master of jokes, Hugo is definitely his best ever. Unfortunately it is as good as it gets….
