More “party boy” than “business man”, Exeter graduate Solomon Akhtar, himself, was the first to admit he’d have been more suited to appearing in Made in Chelsea than on The Apprentice after getting booted from the show in December 2014. The enthusiastic co-founder of Instabear, an Instagram printing company, Akhtar has also created “outrageous swimwear” named the “Willykini” and states that he “like[s] people” on his official website. He has over 41,000 followers on Twitter and of his nemesis on The Apprentice commented: “I think I was too ambitious for Lord Sugar and too outgoing. He’s not a fun person. He’s very boring, he wears a suit, he’s very money orientated. He just doesn’t get life. I think that’s probably why I got shouted out of the room because I actually have a personality and I’m not boring”.
Definitely one the ladies will be swooning over.
He was the only decent person on that show. The black dude was deranged and obnoxious, the black woman was obsessive, the gay guy was stupid, the one called Lauren looked like Leslie Ash and the one from Yorkshire was a total buffoon. Solomon should have won (even though it sounds like he didn’t want to and that’s exactly it: he probably did it for a bet/laugh).
