“The name’s Bondfield, Margaret Bondfield”: This left-winger was the first female Cabinet Minister in the UK and the only woman present at the Accession Council which proclaimed King George VI’s accession to the Throne upon the abdication of King Edward VIII. The daughter of a textile worker, Bondfield was only in Parliament between 1926 and 1931 but will forever be remembered for “improving the lot of the downtrodden”.
A lovely kind hearted woman. Good on you for highlighting her amazing efforts.
Margaret was the splitting image of my late grandmother Golda, may her soul rest in peace. Perhaps Sally Bercow, Louise Mensch, Katie Price, Katie Hopkins can take a leaf from her book. We all want a lady to be a lady. Scrubbers rule the world these days.
Duck you sucker…. The same old argument, all women are debauched whores by nature, and coming from a man that believes Jimmy Savile is a innocent victim. Have a smashing time with your Arab friends. A tosser born every minute. I have Arab friends too.
Yes, I am sure ‘your Arab friends’ are spotlessly clean. Whenever I see ‘your friends’ ruining my once, so beautiful K’bridge, cleanliness is the last thing that springs to mind.
