Hunter wellington boots created for the Boat Races go on sale for £100 per pair
Bizarrely wellington boots are more likely to be spotted on the Kings Road than on a grouse moor but those wanting to make clear their affiliations in the 2016 Cancer Research Boat Races can now sport a pair of official Hunter Boat Race boots.
Offered as limited editions for both men and women, the boots are available in Oxford University Boat Club and Cambridge University Boat Club colours and pairs will be worn by the competing crews on Sunday 27th March also.
Featured in Hunter’s ‘Everyday Pioneers’ campaign, the boots are described as “[enabling] the crews to safely launch their boats whilst protecting them from the Tideway, the section of the River Thames on which the boat race takes place”. They don’t, however, come cheap and will only be yours if you part with £100 per pair.

What a great idea……….
A pair of these are less than a pair of grilled Dover soles in Mount Street
