The Tout’s predictions for Royal Ascot 2014
I’m savouring a full week in my morning suit this week and with the weather set fair, the going is looking good. All we have to do now is to find some winners, so here are my predictions for Royal Ascot 2014:
On Tuesday, I’d suggest backing Toronado – whom we successfully backed in last year’s Goodwood Sussex Stakes – in the Queen Anne Stakes followed by Kingman in the St James’s Palace Stakes. Later, in the day’s final race, my money will be on the American runner Hootenanny – ridden by Victor Espinoza – triumphing in the £60,000 Windsor Castle Stakes. Hailing from the stables of Wes Ward, this will be the first of six outings for this Kentucky based trainer whom the Daily Mail have described as “the US raider”.
On Wednesday, the one to plump for has to be the “horse of the year” and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Treve ridden by Frankie Dettori in The Prince of Wales’s Stakes whilst on Thursday, I’ll confidently predict a win for the Queen’s horse Estimate. She romped home last year in the Gold Cup and it’d be wonderful to see her do it again.
The Tout expects all of these horses to win and win well and will be back with more predictions as the week goes on.

I stopped going to Ascot so many years ago. These days the Enclosure is full of common and uninteresting people….North London property spivs and third raters.
The decline of our once great country is mirrored in two institutions…The Royal Enclosure and Blair’s House of Frauds.
Anything is possible but whatever you say The Tout’s already achieved 3 out of 4 of his predictions this week.
You are a fool. Estimate finished second well in front of Brown Panther.
