The Tout’s first tip at the Cheltenham Festival – Sprinter Sacre – romps home in spite of all the hurdles he faced
On Wednesday, our man The Tout’s 5/1 tip for the coveted Queen Mother Champion Chase, Sprinter Sacre, romped home at the Cheltenham Festival and beat the 4/6 favourite, Un De Sceaux, by seven lengths.
In spite of the horse having suffered from an irregular heartbeat in 2014, its jockey having recently lost his mother and its owner Raymond Mould having also died in 2015, the horse’s trainer Nicky Henderson was delighted with yesterday’s result. He remarked: “It’s been a long, long journey – those were two very, very grim years. … [The win] was unbelievable. That was about dreams, wasn’t it?”
