Acid tongued prat on a ‘mobile weapon’ that is an electric scooter called out for what he is – a vile menace who should be removed from the roads
Today, The Steeple Times asks readers: “Who is this sorry excuse for a human?”
Snapped from the thankfully safe confines of a taxi by Matthew Steeples and his companion, the esteemed journalist Alexis Parr, yesterday, the individual pictured was nothing but abusive about being captured and confronted over his illegal activities.
Electric scooters ARE illegal in Britain on both the pavement and the road. Like the pavement pest Ambar Zohra, this menace wielded a ‘mobile weapon’ that endangered both himself and others.
As the taxi driver commented: “If I’d hit him, I’d have blood on my hands but he isn’t meant to be there. He is breaking the law purely by his presence. He should be prosecuted and that thing should be confiscated.”
Readers – Please tell us who this menace is. It’s time this prat was named and shamed. It is, in fact, time he was named and shamed before he does someone innocent an injury.

Illegal motor on the road. Too many offences there to count easily including no insurance and road tax, £3000 fine and a 3 years driving ban. Hand him over to the law. BUSTED!

Riding an electric scooter on the road is forbidden in the UK at present. Nor are they allowed on the pavement.
They all get rude as they do not know they are breaking the law!

What’s wrong with an electric scooter?! It’s eco friendly, you should I think must wear a helmet but you don’t wobble like a bunch of ppl hiring out bikes for the first time. Our laws are antiquated, rest of Europe embraces them. I understood your passion about the gold lambos outside nozzomi but not an eco friendly electric scooter! No difference to bicycles other than the law in my opinion, hope your well otherwise
What’s wrong with an electric scooter?
1. It is a motorised vehicle that can go at speeds of upto 40mph. Most bicycles are propelled by a human so they are quite different in that regard.
2. Those using them are not licensed and nor have they likely been trained.
3. They are currently illegal on both the pavement and the road. Rightly so given what has resulted thus far; the death in Battersea being the most extreme example.
4. They are not embraced in the rest of Europe. Both Paris and Ireland, for example, are taking far stricter action against them than the UK.
They’re everywhere in Dublin, especially during rush hour. Most ridden by Brazilians by the look of it. I’m surprised they’re illegal as they’re so common here
