Items that will delight those who like to drink at home
Many readers of The Steeple Times are well known drinking aficionados. As a result, we thought it time to share five of the best items that will further improve your tippling pleasures:
The Monarch of The Bar
A stunning ice bucket in Asprey hallmarked sterling silver with stag heads as handles could be yours for £8,000. Given his success with The Monarch of The Glen and Downton Abbey, we do think that this would perfectly suit Julian Fellowes’s Dorset home.
Is It On The Trolley?
Victoria Wood would just love this fantastic 1970s drinks trolley. Made by Australian specialists Ranleigh, it is in excellent condition and features a stainless steel and melamine finish. Wax Antiques seek £445 for it.
A regal martini
Add a touch of regality to your martini making by purchasing a set of martini glasses from Viscount Linley’s LINLEY. Hand blown 24% lead crystal with an etched design, these UK made glasses cost £85 each.
Ice Ice Baby
An icemaker is frankly an essential for any drinker’s home. TheDrinkShop.com offer a compact version for just £144.38 including delivery. It makes 12 ice cubes in 10 minutes and doesn’t need plumbing.
Poirot’s pleasure
This Art Deco drinks cabinet would fit perfectly on the sets of Poirot or Miss Marple. For sale with Jeroen Markies, this stunning 1930s figured walnut cabinet was made by Harry and Lou Epstein and is available for £2,850.

Ridiculously overpriced, Theo, my 90 year old neighbour does not even use glasses, he drinks it straight out of the bottle. I can find better value from the Argos catalogue, and from boot sales, you can save a fortune by shopping around. I have to stretch my Pound as far as possible, as I am not a Russian.
You get what you pay for Chaim.
@Roger Oakes.
You get what you pay for? Perhaps give that advice to Chris Grayling, he is building new 5 star rated Prisons all over the United Kingdom with all the luxuries to go with it.
Some get it all, and pay fuck all.
I find lots of great shakers in jumble sales Chaim. Try there instead. You might get something that goes up in value as opposed to Argos tat.
Get some class man… Sorry I meant “Get a glass”.
I want that trolley.
The ice machine is a great idea. I use one in my country house and then transfer the ice I make to the freezer. Gone are the days of those useless ice trays and going to the garage to get ice.
A pricey sterling silver ice bucket, but very impressive, It would certainly be a statement bar piece for the drinking aficionados put there.
