In making ‘Gender X’ pest Jack Monroe admit she got it wrong over milkshaking, Michael Portillo proved himself a truly talented debater
Jack Monroe is the kind of person who’d have justly got bullied at school. Annoying and condescending, this far-left ‘Gender X’ harpy bizarrely berated Jamie Oliver for coming up with affordable ways to cook (and then herself signed a lucrative deal doing something similar with Sainsbury’s herself).
A total hypocrite – and someone who blocked The Steeple Times on Twitter rather than debate with us – Monroe appeared on the BBC’s This Week alongside Andrew Neill and Michael Portillo last night to talk about one of the main stories of the European Parliamentary Elections, milkshaking.
Defending this completely ridiculous practice as “non-violent humiliation” of the “pound shop black shirt brigade,” Monroe argued: “It reveals the man beneath that respectable veneer… It is effective.”
In response, Portillo rightly suggested that Monroe would be “outraged” if such were done to someone on the left. He added: “Why not chuck one at Anna Soubry? It’s just because these are people you disagree with.”
Subsequently, Monroe was then forced to declare: “Oh OK… I condemn it.” Well done Michael Portillo: Finally, someone has put this ghastly oik of a woman in her place.

Ahhh… I love and adore Michael Portillo. Ideal husband material I say. I had missed this but just watched on iPlayer. Michael was lovely which is more than I can say for that awful specimen Jack Monroe! She can’t even sit on a sofa properly! I’ve had twitter spats with her myself once calling her out over taking Katie Hopkins to court. I wish she would throw a milkshake over me then I could knock her out!
Julie, I hate to tell you but I don’t think Michael( a solid Brexiteer) is terribly interested in the ladies…..
