Wear a crown to Brasserie Zédel on the 6th January and get a free meal on the house
Both most worthily awarded OBE’s in the New Year Honours List, Chris Corbin and Jeremy King would appear towards the top of any list of the best restaurateurs in London. Always innovative and true trendsetters, with their latest promotion at Brasserie Zédel, this fine duo have come up with another clever marketing idea.
To mark la Fête des Rois on Monday 6th January, the duo offer “any diner who turns up on 6th January from 6pm onwards, dressed up with a crown… a three course Menu Formule dinner with our own traditional Galette des Rois, plus wine and coffee” on the house.
Bookings naturally are recommended. Maybe even Her Majesty might make an appearance.

I am sorry….I can think of nothing more humiliating. I am surprised they could even think it a good idea…..
The place will be full of dethroned Continental Royalty.
What I find odd is this. Jeremy King has done extraordinarily well, having risen from being a barman, from a small and dreary provincial seaside town called Burnham on Sea in Somerset. Though he has acquired a cosmopolitan gloss he has does very well to move up the social ladder. This sort of ‘marketing’ ploy is exactly what I would have expected had he been running a pub in his home ‘hood of Burnham! Jeremy….this is not a cool idea!!
