SIGHTS AND SOUNDS

Jan Harvey

Penzance born actress Jan Harvey is married to her Howards’ Way co-star Stephen Yardley. She played Jan Howard in the popular series that depicted Thatcherite, nouveau riche excess from 1985 to 1990, has also appeared in Inspector Morse and Lovejoy and was pushed off a balcony to her death in Eastenders in 2016. In 2013, she suggested the wealthy yachting drama should be remade as “it could show all the problems of the young rich”.

  1. Cool programme. They should remake it. Thanks for sharing the clip. I’ve watched many more of them in the hours since. You led me to a reminder of my younger years. Always used to watch on a Sunday. Thank you.

  2. A good actress. I enjoyed her portrayal of a television personality in Inspector Morse. She provided the best twist in that particular episode.

  3. I agree that the series should be repeated but remaking it might be hard given most of the cast are dead. RIP Sally Farmiloe.
