For one day only La Brasserie will offer food at 1972 prices in November

Forty-four years ago in 1972, La Brasserie in Chelsea, London opened its doors for the first time. On Monday 21st November, this popular neighbourhood restaurant will celebrate that with a special 1970s menu with pricing from that era.

1972 was the year that Rose Heilbron became the first woman judge at the Old Bailey and the year that The Godfather was released in cinemas in the United States; it was the year that Watergate broke and the Second Cod War began between the UK and Iceland.

The special menu is as follows:

Soupe à l’oignon − £1.44

Cocktail de crevettes − £1.95

Coq au vin − £2.95

Filet de saumon aux lentilles − £2.95

Individual baked Alaskas − £1.44

Crème caramel − £1.20
