Stuart Hall arrives at Preston Magistrates Court in handcuffs
Stuart Hall’s disgrace rightly continues to make headlines as yet more allegations emerge against him. For that reason, an image of the 83-year old former presenter arriving at Preston Magistrates Court in handcuffs today had to be our Picture of the Week.
Stripped of his OBE by the Queen and already subjected to a doubling of his sentence to 30 months by the Court of Appeal, some might argue that Hall has suffered enough. We don’t agree and point out that he now faces what District Judge Goodwin described as “more serious” allegations relating to fifteen further counts of child rape.
It should also be pointed out – though no associations should necessarily be garnered between the yet unproven allegations against Roache and the convictions of Hall and Oyston – that Stuart Hall was until recently a fellow director of companies controlled by convicted rapist Owen Oyston (who continues to maintain his innocence to this day) alongside Coronation Street actor William “Cock Roache” Roache (who awaits trial on five counts of indecent assault). Just as at the BBC, the personal connections between this threesome should be pointed out and to remind readers of such we also include here a photograph of the trio together at a party.
It is time that this nasty era was properly examined and it is time that the guilty amongst the powerful members of the elite of Cheshire and Lancashire were brought to justice.

Stuart Hall had the balls to admit his guilt and face the music. He has fallen on his sword to protect others, there is obviously something in it for him. He is the fall man. They are hoping that his head on a plate will satisfy the general public that justice have been done.
