Lady Borwick yet again puts her foot in it and again defends the senseless ivory trade; shame on her

Poor Borwick! She just cannot help herself. After making a mighty fine fool of her sorry self on the BBC a few Sundays ago, Lady Borwick, it can now be revealed, has yet again come out in support of the vile ivory trade.

Speaking to the Antiques Trade Gazette on the subject of New Year’s resolutions, the justly ousted former MP for Kensington and mother of a brat who sold apps to Cambridge Analytica remarked:

“Now that the BADA has celebrated its centenary, and having reminded ourselves of the tumult of 1918 and the First World War, I’m going to help dealers come together from across the country, all disciplines and expertise, to face the tumult of 2019…. Lady Borwick, plainly a woman who governs by hyperbole, should be ashamed of herself. Aside from also inappropriately claiming the Grenfell Tower tragedy was caused by gangs – and not, as was the reality, by a faulty fridge – in 2018 this ghastly wannabe-an-MP-again has just yet again proven herself nothing but a brainless prat.

With even the much loathed hardline Brexiteer Michael Gove having rightly supported IFAW’s successful effort to get an ivory ban through in December, it is jolly well time that Lady Borwick put a bloody sock in it and accepted the reality: There’s no elephant in Kensington, but equally there’s no need for any more ivory on our shores.
