Lady Meyer takes a pay cheque from the City Bridge Trust
Featured in The Telegraph in 2011 due to the curious way it allocated its income, the charity founded by the “Chanel-clad” wife of the former British ambassador to Washington, Lady Meyer, is back in the news after receiving a grant of £60,000 from the City Bridge Trust. Naturally, she, herself, is set to receive 10% of this personally.

Sir Christopher Meyer complains about how little he earns
“The current grant is towards PACT’s ground-breaking child rescue project… [and] is contributing towards the establishment of an online child abduction hub, designed for parents and professionals alike. £10,000 will contribute towards the salary of the CEO [Lady Meyer], which we feel is a modest sum”.
Lady Meyer and her husband, it should be noted, purchased an expensive townhouse adjoining a kebab shop in Lincoln Street, Chelsea for £2,650,000 in April 2013. She has spent the ensuing months extensively renovating it at, no doubt, great cost.
Morally and ethically, we again ask: “Does this already wealthy woman really need to take yet another pay cheque from a charity?”

Love the expensive, fur lined coat of Catherine Meyer. You can only rescue children once you are immaculately dressed and groomed. Sod the kids!
This woman is GHASTLY and RUDE. I met her once and she is like a hector on acid. Her mean spirit is what I truly loathed.
Well put Matthew. The City Bridge Trust trustees should be made aware of this and call an emergency meeting to reconsider their position. Wasting resources on such a pointless organisation is a disgrace.
Why do you attack people like Catherine Meyer, Steeples? You have already caused enough trouble by joining in with the bullying of an innocent man, Rolf Harris. I REPEAT – ROLF HARRIS IS INNOCENT and now I add: CATHERINE MEYER IS INNOCENT.
I hear what you say, however, do you consider sexual relationships between adults and children as healthy and normal? If you do, it is understandable why you believe that he is innocent. Perhaps the Socialist Worker will have more tolerance for your cause. We as parents are very uncomfortable with this school of thought, a zero tolerance. What are your thoughts on child porn. The answers to these questions are crucial for me to make an assessment of where you are coming from, you are in desperate need of help.
I bet Catherine Meyer is delighted to be put in the same box as Rolf Harris. Who else do you want to compare her to? Jimmy Savile? Rosemary West?
No, I would rather compare Lady Meyer to Angelina Jolie and Fergie ( randy Andy’s former wife) It is self publicity, it is more about them rather than the charity.
The smug face says it all. She needs to examine her “Chanel-clad” moral compass.

I went to one of Catherine Meyer’s dinners once at The Dorchester. I gave money to her “charity”. I didn’t know what I know now. I want my money back.
