Yesterday, after 22 years of incarceration without sight of one another, it was announced that the brothers would finally be placed in the same jail “shortly.”
Of this positive news for a duo who undoubtedly received far too harsh a sentence, Hazel Thornton, a juror at the first trial of Erik Menendez and the author of Hung Jury: The Diary of a Menendez Juror, exclusively told The Steeple Times:
“Erik and Lyle were never a danger to anyone besides the parents who terrorised them all their lives. Sending them to separate prisons without even the privilege of speaking to one another for 22 years was just plain cruelty. There are lots of brothers in prison together. I am delighted that they will be reunited. For anyone who’s counting, they’ve now been incarcerated for 28 years. But miracles do happen!”
Elsewhere on Facebook on Wednesday, Lyle Menendez himself commented:
“I would like to wish everyone a Happy Valentines’ Day. I adore my wife today more than I ever have after so many years together. She has been with me throughout this long journey and will be as we embark on a new one.”
“As most of you know, my brother and I have been separated for almost 22 years – captured so tragically on Law & Order. We have been working for the past 6 years to get the Corrections Department to place us together. I have requested to be transferred to San Diego to be with Erik. It has been a long torturous ordeal but never did I feel hopeless.”
“I am very grateful to announce that on Monday the request was finally granted. Erik and I will be reunited in the very near future. We will keep you posted!”
“I would like to thank the huge number of people across the country who felt strongly that my brother and I should be together and took the time to pray for that result and wish us well.”

Harris was and is a Filthy Pervert Paedo, and that’s how he will always be remembered, as far as I’m concerned, he should have died in prision, he had no remorse what so ever.
The Steeple Times’ coverage of this story made me examine it in detail. Not only was Law & Order a must watch and quite a revelation but Hazel Thornton’s book (which I bought after clicking on the link here last year) made me more and more interested in this case. The brothers should have got manslaughter and they should both be out by now.

Great news. Having followed this case since your reports on it like Fiona, I became fascinated. Lyle and Erik deserve to be together and I hope those evil parents are both burning in hell.
The programme exposed the truth of this case and the reality is those poor abused boys got no justice.

This case was and is a thoroughly disgraceful, heartless, miscarriage of justice.
It’s really sad how these 2 brothers were treated by the Judiciary. Many women in prison have had crimes committed to them much worse than what they have done to end up in prison. If those brothers were protected properly by the authorities when they were children, they wouldn’t have had to take the law into their own hands. Everyone has a breaking point..
Finally these two brothers will be together again. I believe the sentence was to harsh considering the circumstances. If you don’t know what its like to be abused then you should have no comment about the outcome.
Free lyle and erik they deserve it they are married and shoiud be home with thier wives free lylr and erik
So glad to see the brothers are finally going to be together after 22 years apart for no reason except cruelty. I hope they also get a chance for a retrial being the abuse testimony was not allowed from their relatives during their trial. They have served enough time for their crime.

Brilliant and much deserved news – about time the American justice system got its act into gear
unbelievable ,its great they are together ,please for all comments quit trashing their parents who obviously cant get up out of there graves and defend themselves ok just stop,its good they are in same facility ,hope they see each other ,and you know the reality is the brutal murders ,the gore they left and left it for someone else to pick up incredible ,anyway up to justice system to release them ,they seem to have grown up and realize what they did ,up to how new trial if they are granted one turns out .
TV dramas are primarily for our entertainment. Also Nobody has ever mentioned this:-
when Erik went on his burglarising sprees he was sent to a psychiatrist as part of his probation. This was his time to discuss “the abuse”. If he was being abused he would have said so then. Not made it up later at trial.
Analyst…the idiot so called physiatrist was reporting everything Erik talked about in therapy back to Jose ( the subside father)! Erik knew this so why would he trust Oziel?
