Ridiculing Riemenschneider

Lothario chef Michael Riemenschneider mocked on Twitter in addition to being taken to court by his investor and ex-lover

The Steeple Times reviewed a restaurant named ‘Canvas by Michael Riemenschneider’ in February 2014. We noted that the emphasis was truly on the chef’s name and boy was it everywhere. It was on the walls, on the windows and on the waiter’s aprons and nowhere was the word ‘Riemenschneider’ not to be seen. That name is now mud given this German (or Swiss depending on the day of the week) man has been sucked into a bitter court battle with his ex-lover and financial backer whilst elsewhere, on Twitter, an account has been created that labels him a “conman who [sic] steal investors money”.

Aside from being made the main news item on the Mail Online on Sunday, Mr Riemenschneider has been subjected to numerous allegations on the @Michaelriemen Twitter feed. We cannot confirm whether any of them are true or false but amongst them are:

“Did you know that Michael Riemenschneider set fire to the Barcaldine House Hotel so he could have an excuse to run again? #conman #noshame”

“Riemenschneider is the idiot. He’s stolen over 2 million pounds of investors money. He will be in prison very soon”.

“I’m busy betting away investors money! I love being a #conman”.

“Spending all of my investors money on poker! #conman #catchmeifyoucan”.

“This man is wanted for crimes against food #riemenschneider #frankfurt #atelierwilma”.

“Michael Riemenschneider is BACK stealing investors money. Why does no one do anything? He’s a DISGRACE to industry”.

“Guten tag… I’ve got a new restaurant opening. Rent is £250k and my break even is £5.50 a week. Fancy it?”

“Riemenschneider #conman pretending to know what he’s talking about in Germany. What happened to being Swiss? #liar”.

  1. The story that keeps on giving. I’ve looked at the bogus Twitter accounts, they are funny. Nowhere to hide for this chap now, bet he wishes he had an eraser pen to erase his name! Given you went to the original Canvas, hope you didn’t pay £200 for his pretentiousness!
